Closures and detours may take place due to improvement projects, repairs and weather-related events. Find information on temporary facility closures and trail detours in DNR facilities, including state-designated trails, boat launches, parks and campgrounds. Intermittent closures may not always be posted.
Flooding and severe weather from rain and snowmelt this past April forced several temporary closures across the state. While most locations have since reopened, a few closures remain in effect.
The Cheboygan Lock and the Crooked River Lock have REOPENED (as of 6/26/26).
