Mr. Kavalhuna holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate, and is a former airline pilot and flight instructor. He is an attorney in Grand Rapids practicing criminal law. Mr. Kavalhuna graduated from Western Michigan University's College of Aviation, with a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Science. While attending WMU, he was a flight instructor at the College of Aviation's Battle Creek W.K. Kellogg Airport facility. Mr. Kavalhuna continues to maintain his pilot qualifications and flies recreationally throughout the state and country.
