About Air Services
Airline passengers in Michigan increased by 4% between 1999 and 2000. In 2005, over 37.7 million passengers and in excess of 657 million pounds of cargo were moved through Michigan's Air Carrier airports. The 30 airlines serving Michigan contribute $2.4 billion to the state's economy. Detroit Metro Airport ranks 9th nationwide in air carrier operations, and 11th in total passengers.
