Minimum Airport Licensing Requirements (minimum easement requirements at non Federally funded airports)

AIRPORT SPONSORS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH  FEDERAL GRANT OBLIGATIONS  IF FEDERAL FUNDS ARE INVESTED IN THEIR AIRPORT.  LAND RELEASES  ARE ONE EXAMPLE OF ACTIONS A SPONSOR MUST TAKE IN ORDER TO ENSURE THEY ARE IN COMPLIANCE.

IF AIRPORT SPONSORS ENTER INTO A SPONSOR CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF MICHIGAN THEY ARE ALSO OBLIGATED TO COMPLY WITH ASSURANCES (SUCH AS CONTROLLING  RPZs ) WHICH ARE INCLUDED AS AN ATTACHMENT TO EACH SPONSOR CONTRACT.
