Scott Heather has overseen the air operations program for the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) since 1999 and has worked for that agency since 1977. The primary mission of the MDNR is to provide wildfire detection, intelligence over large wildfires, and to fly natural resource survey missions (wildlife and forest health) and law enforcement patrols. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan in Natural Resource Mangement in 1975.
