Welcome to the Michigan Department of Attorney General's online Employment Opportunities page.  We employ approximately 600 persons in a wide variety of professional, clerical, and technical positions.  Our employees enjoy excellent fringe benefits and a common dedication to providing high quality legal representation on behalf of our client agencies, the Executive and Legislative branches of government, and the citizens of our state.  Office hiring policy is according to the Michigan Department of Civil Service Rules and Regulations (see Michigan Department of Civil Service Rules and Regulations for more details at: www.michigan.gov/mdcs).  Current vacancies for our department and other departments are posted at the above Civil Service website.

NOTE:  Civil Service Rule 1-7 requires that all persons newly hired into state government positions submit and pass a pre-employment drug test prior to their actual appointment to the classified service (see Civil Service Rule 1-7 for more information).
