What are the total revenues and expenses of state government?
 
Answer:
In fiscal year 2008, state revenues totaled $47.3 billion.  Michigan spent $47.8 billion during fiscal year 2008 to provide services to the citizens of Michigan. In addition to current year revenues, fund balances and other state assets were used to support government programs.
