How much tax does the state collect?
 
Answer:

During fiscal year 2007, the state collected $24.4 billion in taxes. Five specific taxes comprised 80.7% of the taxes collected: personal income tax (30.1%), sales tax (26.9%), property tax (8.5%), motor vehicle and fuel tax (7.8%), and the single business tax (7.3%). Below is a 10-year history of revenues for these five taxes:
