    How to Renew a License or Permit

    To Current License / Permit / Registration / Certificate Holder:

    If you've been directed to One Stop to pay a fee or renew a license, then most likely you'll be able to complete that transaction online in One Stop.  Please follow these steps below to complete the process:

    1.  Create a One Stop Account (One Time Step Only)
    Go to www.michigan.gov/business and select the GO button under the "Start & Register" section and follow the instructions for creating a Login ID and Password.

    2.  Add a Business in One Stop (One Time Step Only)
    Follow the steps provided after selecting the GO button under the "For Businesses" section to add your existing business in One Stop. 

    3.  Add a Task to "My Workspace":
    A.  Once you finish the "Add a Business" process, you will reach the "My Workspace" area
    B.  Look under the My Tasks area to see if any tasks specific for your business have already been added for you.
    C.  If the task isn't present, select the ADD A TASK button in the upper right-hand area of the page and navigate to the license, permit or renewal task that you wish to complete. 
    D.  Once the task is added to your workspace area, simply click on it to begin completion.

The Customer Assistance Center is open Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm to assist you.  Outside of those hours, you can use this link to email us questions and we'll get respond the next working day.
