How do I get an unemployment account number?

Answer:
An employer must complete Form 518 plus Schedule A, either by paper or through the Online Business Startup Wizard, in order to be assigned an UIA Employer Account Number.  If Schedule A is not completed, an employer account number cannot be assigned.  Also, the employer must have a FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number) prior to registering for unemployment taxes.
