  • By 2008, reduce deaths per million based on a calculation performed by MDOT (comparing the state police crash data off the “UD10” forms that are filled out whenever a law enforcement person records a crash. The data is collected on the crash site and submitted to state police for processing. MDOT compares it to MDOT vehicle miles of travel data. It is placed within the national context by FHWA, who compares it to the other states)
