Frequently Asked Questions
  Michigan Education Information System
What is the Single Record Student Database (SRSD)?

Answer:
The SRSD is the most complex of the five MEIS core data sets. It contains information such as a student’s date of enrollment and grade level. The purpose of the SRSD is twofold: to consolidate data reporting and to provide the state with an information system that will monitor anonymous student progress over time. The SRSD will be used to determine pupil membership and headcounts.
