Frequently Asked Questions
  Michigan Education Information System
How will the MEIS help assess and improve school performance?

Answer:
Over time, the MEIS databases will reflect trends and identify best practices. Researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders will use information housed in the MEIS to produce mandated reports, perform specialized analyses, and develop policy initiatives to improve student and school performance. Parents, teachers, and school administrators will be able to use reports generated from the MEIS to better assess the academic, operational and financial performance of their schools and students.
