Verifying Your MEIS Authorized Users

We recommend that district superintendents verify the district's MEIS Authorized Users on a regular basis.  Changes in staffing occur frequently throughout the school year.  Therefore, as you verify your MEIS Authorized Users, you may encounter one or more scenarios:

1. Your list is entirely accurate. You do not need to do anything else. Thank you for keeping your records up to date with the state.

2. An individual is no longer employed by your district. Please complete and fax the MEIS Authorized User Removal Request Form found under the security agreement link on each application's page in the MEIS Data Services section of CEPI's Web site (www.michigan.gov/cepi).

3. An individual's permission for one or more of the databases has changed. Please complete and fax the MEIS Authorized User Removal Request Form found under the security agreement link on each application's page in the MEIS Data Services section of CEPI's Web site (www.michigan.gov/cepi).

4. An individual has more than one MEIS account that he/she is not currently using. Please complete and fax the MEIS Authorized User Removal Request Form found under the security agreement link on each application's page in the MEIS Data Services section of CEPI's Web site (www.michigan.gov/cepi).

5. An individual's e-mail address or phone number has changed. The individual must update his/her MEIS account at https://cepi.state.mi.us/meispublic/The individual must also notify the Department of Information Technology (DIT) Client Service Center (CSC) of the changes via e-mail (Help-Desk@michigan.gov). He/she must include in the e-mail message: name, MEIS account(s), district name and district number, changes (e.g., e-mail address, phone number), and each CEPI application for which he/she has authorization.

6. An individual's name has changed. The individual must create a new MEIS account (at http://www.michigan.gov/meis) and complete the appropriate security agreements for the CEPI applications for which he/she has authorization. The individual must also notify the DIT CSC (Help-Desk@michigan.gov) to close the former MEIS accounts by completing and faxing the MEIS Authorized User Removal Request Form found under the security agreement link on each application's page in the MEIS Data Services section of CEPI's Web site (www.michigan.gov/cepi).
