Food Assistance trafficking occurs when a store owner buys a client's food assistance credits at a discount so that the client can use the money to buy illicit items. Department of Human Services' Office of the Inspector General (OIG)uses the Data Warehouse to analyze Food Assistance usage and identify vendors who are likely to be trafficking. (

Child Day Care
The Department of Human Services provides day care assistance to clients to allow them to leave home for employment. Some of these clients have abused the system to pay for unnecessary or undelivered child care. The OIG uses the data warehouse to identify clients who are receiving day care assistance but have not earned any income. (
