Judge Halick became an administrative law judge of the Tax Tribunal in 2002.  Previously, he served as a policy advisor and assistant legal counsel to the Michigan House of Representatives, Judiciary Committee and Tax Policy Committee; as a senior tax counsel for the Michigan Department of Treasury, Legal and Hearings Division; and as an attorney in private practice.  Judge Halick received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.
