Families, friends and co-workers joined the facilities’ officers of the year at the annual Corrections Officer of the Year appreciation banquet and awards presentation held at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing.

C/O Eric Jones, the 2006 Officer of the Year, thanked his colleagues and family for their support and acknowledged his faith for the strength to accomplish his goals.

Director Patricia Caruso thanked the officers for their hard work and professionalism and the families for their support.  The Director also acknowledged the strong working relationship between the Michigan Corrections Organization and the department and recognized the great support the organization provides to staff. MCO President Tom Tylutki read Governor Granholm’s proclamation which declared May 7 through 13 Corrections Officers Week in Michigan.  

Master of Ceremonies Warden Nick Ludwick singled out the families and friends thanking them for the strength and stability they provide for the officers as well.
