Under the administrative control of the Standish Maximum Correctional Facility, Camp Lehman was built in 1963-64 and is north of Grayling. The camp sits on 19 acres of land donated by the Department of Natural Resources and can house 582 prisoners. A total of 107 employees work at the camp. Its programs include ABE, General Education Diploma, a prerelease program, substance-abuse treatment, Alcoholics Anonymous and group counseling. The camp has 5 prisoner work crews.

Prisoner correspondence is processed through the Standish Maximum Correctional Facility. Any mail or funds being sent to prisoners at Camp Lehman need to be addressed as follows:
