Social Skills Development Unit

The Social Skills Development Unit (SSDU) is a specialized housing unit for prisoners with serious impairment in adaptive behaviors (e.g., self-care, learning, social skills). The SSDU provides a supportive housing environment and interventions designed to increase the prisoners’ level of adaptive functioning and (when possible) return them to general population.
