Tobacco Cessation in the MDOC

Effective February 1, 2009, possession and use of tobacco products is prohibited in all Michigan Department of Corrections Facilities. This prohibition applies to employees, volunteers, vendors, visitors, members of the public and offenders who are on the premises of any correctional facility under MDOC jurisdiction.
