Programs:

  1. Educational Neglect Assessments, for families with children 12 and under. Working with the Jackson Family Court, CPCAN clinicians conduct assessments to provide the court with information as to why the child/children are not attending school and to help the familiy with the issues causing the truancy by providing recommendations and referral information to the family.
  2. Nurturing Parent with Truancy Component (NPTC), for families with children 13 and over. Working with the Jackson Family Court, CPCAN offers classes to parents and teens struggling with truancy issues.

Project:The Nurturing Parenting Education Program services has specialized program components for providing: Parent education classes, workshops, and parent education support groups to homeless, teen and substance abusing parents for assisting these highly at-risk parents in achieving healthy effective parenting skills necessary to positively impact their children.
