New parents should contact Manistee County Family Advocates as coupons and safety information are available. The council was involved in a fundraiser event called "Love for Chocolate and Children" during Old Victorian Sleighbell Weekend in December, 2011, with the Manistee County Child Advocacy Center.
Manistee County Family Advocates continues to work to keep babies and young children safe with Safe Sleep education and Sleep sacs to new parents at our local hospital-West Shore Medical Center. We provide DVD's as well as Shaken baby information. Safety items and car seats are provided as needed.
They are currently selling "custom painted" rocking chairs for children. $30.00 for small chair (1-3 yrs) and $45.00 for big chairs (up to 10 yrs). Please contact their office for details.
