Baltimore, Maryland DPW Recycling Facts. This compilation of solid waste facts contains many interesting facts about recycling such as "Every year, we make enough plastic film to shrink-wrap the state of Texas." from the U.S. EPA.
- Bureau of International Recycling. International Trade Association of Recycling Industries.
- Centre for Sustainable Design. A resource and clearinghouse for eco-design information and discussion.
- Clean Washington Center (CWC) Publications."The CWC has produced over 80 different technical reports, “how-to” manuals, and other tools needed to effectively implement recycled material collection & handling, processing, and recycled-content manufacturing. The publications include the CWC's Best Practices in Recycling; documented proven methods and techniques related to recycled materials and recycling technology applications. ... These publications, reports, fact sheets, case studies and resources represent one of the most unique and comprehensive sources of recycling technologies information available. The reports cover topics on construction site recycling, glass, industrial by-products, paper, plastics, product marketing, and tires & rubber."
- Container Recycling Institute. This site is a resource for information about bottle bills and other issues in the container recycling industry.
- Cygnus Group. Website for "Use Less Stuff" information.
- Environmental Defense Fund. This site contains a rebuttal to current claims that recycling is a waste of time and resources. "Advantage Recycle: Assessing the Full Costs and Benefits of Curbside Recycling."
- EPA Office of Solid Waste. Source of information on solid waste, recycling, etc.

- "Enviro$en$e is an integral part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's web site. It attempts to provide a single repository for pollution prevention, compliance assurance, and enforcement information and data bases."
- Global Recycling Network
- Jobs Through Recycling. Program of the U.S. EPA supporting the job creation and diversion potential of recycling. Good site for getting state and regional contact information and information about recycling market development.
- National Recycling Coalition (NRC). This non-profit organization provides resources, workshops and advocates recycling as an integral part of waste management. Membership consists of recycling specialists around the U.S.
- Office of the Federal Environmental Executive. Includes the White House Electronic Town Meeting on Recycling.

Paper Calculator.org. This site, sponsored by the Environmental Defense Fund, can calculate the environmental benefit for buying recycled paper. You must agree to cite the Environmental Defense Fund when using these figures.
