EQ Resource Recovery, Inc. submitted an application for a major modification to their hazardous waste operating license in July 2006. The proposed major modification is to reconstruct the hazardous waste operations at the Facility in accordance with design plans and specifications reviewed by the MDEQ and to update the operating procedures to reflect the revised Facility.
The MDEQ proposes to issue the operating license major modification. A public hearing is scheduled for January 20, 2009, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Romulus City Hall located at 11111 Wayne Road in Romulus, Michigan. The public comment period on the draft documents will begin on December 18, 2008, and end on February 17, 2008.
