E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company submitted a Remedial Action Plan that proposes final corrective actions for cleanup of soils and groundwater contamination for Dupont's former facility located in
Flint,
Michigan. The proposed corrective actions are to restrict uses of the facility to industrial, maintain exposure barriers, and operate and maintain a long-term monitoring system for releases to groundwater.
The MDEQ proposes to conditionally approve the proposed corrective actions. A public hearing is not currently scheduled, but may be requested in writing, stating the reasons why a public hearing is needed. The public comment period on the proposed RAP will begin on
January 30, 2009, and end on
February 28, 2009. The administrative record for the proposed RAP is on file at the MDEQ, Waste and Hazardous Materials Division Office, located at
