The Department of Environmental Quality, Department of Natural Resources, and the Partnership for the Saginaw Bay Watershed will be hosting a presentation by Charlie Bauer of the DEQ's Water Bureau regarding the Saginaw Bay Coastal Initiative (SBCI) Phosphorus Committee Report. The presentation will take place on December 2, 2009, at 3 p.m., at the Bay City State Recreation Area Visitors Center.
Mr. Bauer's presentation will provide an overview of past phosphorus strategies for the Saginaw Bay, a summary of key recommendations from the current SBCI Phosphorus Committee Report, and a brief status update on implementation of these recommendations.
This presentation continues the discussions regarding muck management in Saginaw Bay, a priority issue identified through the SBCI.
