Removal of a 100-year-old heating oil tank
This spring RRD Southeast MI staff obtained emergency funding and organized the removal of an approximately 100-year-old heating oil UST from a residents' front yard in Birmingham.  The front door is about 10 feet to the right of the UST cavity edge.  The UST was discovered because the resident contacted RRD and reported smelling vapors in their basement that were so strong the family had to move out of the house for some time this winter.
