Integrated Contingency Plan Guidance

Are you prepared for a chemical release emergency?

 

Every facility that handles hazardous chemicals should have an emergency response plan.   The National Response Team’s Integrated Contingency Plan (ICP) Guidance provides a format for a comprehensive emergency response plan.  It can be used by any facility, whether or not the facility is subject to specific planning requirements under federal and/or state regulations.

 

Use of the ICP format by facilities when developing their contingency plans is supported by the following agencies:

  • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
  • U.S. Department of Transportation
  • U.S. Department of the Interior
  • U.S. Department of Labor
  • Michigan Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Commission
  • Michigan Department of State Police
  • Michigan Department of Environmental Quality
  • Michigan Department of Agriculture
  • Michigan Department of Consumer & Industry Services
