State of Michigan Earth Day EventAgency:
EARTH DAY 2013
The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) will come together to celebrate Earth Day on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Constitution Hall in Lansing, Michigan. This year's participants will include school groups; families and friends of Earth Day poster contest winners; partnering organizations; and children of DEQ, DNR, MDARD, and Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) staff in celebration of Bring Your Child to Work Day.
Last year, nearly 3,200 adults and students attended and participated in a memorable celebration. Our Earth Day event has become a premiere education initiative and has a lasting impact on a generation that will soon be responsible for decisions regarding our environmental and natural resources.
