Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes
The Gloria Barron prize was designed for children and young adults that seek to make a positive difference for people and the planet. The top ten nominations will each receive a $2,000 stipend to use toward enhancing their project or to use toward their higher education goals. If you know of a young child that desires to make a positive change in their environment you are encouraged to nominate them for consideration.
Albert I. Pierce Foundation 2008 Photo Contest
The North American Association for Environmental Education is teaming up with the Albert I. Pierce Foundation to sponsor this year's Photo Contest. The competition is open to both amateurs and professionals and there will be separate judging brackets for each level. Those with a talent for capturing nature's beauty are encouraged to submit their artwork.

Earthwatch Educator Fellowship Awards
Education Awards awarded through a competitive application process, are considered based on available funding in the applicant's geographic region, financial need, and the benefits that would result from participating on an Earthwatch expedition. Decisions are made on applications beginning in January and ending when funds are exhausted, typically by late spring. Elementary, middle, and high school educators and administrators of any discipline are eligible to apply.
