Contact:  Patricia Spitzley (517) 241-7397
Agency: Environmental Quality

October 20, 2004

The Department of Environmental Quality’s Environmental Science and Services and Air Quality Divisions are pleased to announce the Life After ROP Workshops series to help businesses comply with their responsibilities after they’ve been issued an ROP. The workshop is being offered in Gaylord on December 2, in Grand Rapids on December 8, and in Livonia on December 9.

The workshop will focus on annual and semi-annual compliance certifications and deviation reporting, as well as the notification and modification requirements associated with making changes at an ROP source. Attendees will receive a workbook specially designed for this course and other useful guidance materials. If your company has an ROP, you will not want to miss this valuable training opportunity! Those who consult or otherwise work with ROP facilities will also find the training beneficial.

The registration fee of $50 includes continental breakfast and workshop materials. Register online at www.michigan.gov/deqworkshops (click on “Upcoming Workshops”). For registration information, contact the Environmental Assistance Center at 800-662-9278, or e mail at deq-ead-env-assist@michigan.gov.
