Governor Jennifer M. Granholm and Department of Environmental Quality Director Steven E. Chester today announced that Magna Donnelly Corporation, Holland Windows Division has been awarded the designation of Clean Corporate Citizen.
“Magna Donnelly’s Window Division’s ability to incorporate environmental stewardship into their corporate work ethic is a shining example to all Michigan citizens,” said Governor Granholm.
Magna Donnelly Corporation has become Michigan’s 106th Clean Corporate Citizen.
“This company’s commitment to environmental protection is evident in its operations, involvement in pollution prevention, and policy of continual environmental improvement and we’re pleased to have this company join the ranks of Michigan’s elite environmental performers,” said Director Chester.”
“We are honored to be the first Holland facility to join the ranks of the Clean Corporate Citizen. This achievement is the result of Roger Thompson, Environmental Technician, the Environmental/Recycle teams, and our collective workforce working together to increase our commitment to improving our environment,” said Bruce Warren, General Manager, Engineered Glass.
The Magna Donnelly Corporation is a technology-driven, customer-focused automotive supplier based in Holland since 1905. Magna International Inc. merged with the Donnelly Corporation in 2002. They are recognized as a leading advocate of environmental management systems and have been active with the DEQ’s Michigan Business Pollution Prevention Partnership for several years.
