DEQ Resolves Alleged Excess Particulate Emissions Violations with Everett Goodrich Trucking, Inc

Department of Environmental Quality Director Steven E. Chester announced that on April 25, the DEQ’s Air Quality Division entered into a Stipulation for Entry of a Final Order by Consent with Everett Goodrich Trucking, Inc., which operates a hot mix asphalt facility located in Alpena. The consent order resolves alleged violations of excess particulate emissions released from the hot mix asphalt facility.

Under the terms of the consent order, Everett Goodrich Trucking, Inc. is responsible for operating the facility in compliance with their air use permit issued on November 29, 2004 for the hot mix asphalt manufacturing process. Everett Goodrich Trucking, Inc. is also responsible for paying fines associated with the past violations in the amount of $33,110 to the State of Michigan.
