The Multi-State Working Group on Environmental Performance and the Department of Environmental Quality are pleased to announce the “Eco-Innovation 21: The Local/Global Imperative” Workshop, being held at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan, June 20-22, 2005. Eco-Innovation 21 will offer participants the latest methods, tools, and attitudes available to lead their organizations toward economic and ecological success.
MSWG is an international organization that convenes government, non-government, business, and academic interests to conduct research, promote dialogue, create networks, and establish partnerships that improve the state of the environment, economy, and community through systems-based public and private policy innovation.
Attendees will hear world-class speakers such as Mindy Lubber, executive director of Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies; Vijay Vaitheeswaran, global environment and energy correspondent for The Economist; and Tom Burke, co-founder of Third Generation Environmentalism, London. Days one and two will feature 18 breakout sessions in 3 tracks: Business Value; Policy Innovation, and Sustainability and Climate. Day three will offer a field trip to three sites of ecological and business success stories.
