The Department of Environmental Quality, Department of Community Health, and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announce a Technical Information Meeting open to the general public on July 12 in Midland. Dr. Linda S. Birnbaum, Director of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Experimental Toxicology Division in the National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory, will be the featured speaker. Her presentation will be on dioxins and their health effects.
The meeting will be held at the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library Auditorium, located at 1710 W. St. Andrews in Midland. Dr. Birnbaum’s presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m., with time available after the presentation for discussion until 8:30 p.m.
