Department of Environmental Quality Director Steven E. Chester has announced a public outreach session to be held in Kalamazoo on September 22.
Director Chester and several of his key staff are continuing to hold public outreach sessions across the state to solicit comments on environmental issues facing their community. The Kalamazoo Public Outreach Session will be held at Kalamazoo Public Library, Van Deusen Room – Main Library, 315 South Rose in Kalamazoo. The event is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will begin with a short presentation by Director Chester. The public meeting will then be opened for an informal question and answer session.
“It is crucial that the DEQ is accessible to the citizens of Michigan,” said DEQ Director Chester. “These forums provide us with the opportunity to hear comments and concerns about Michigan’s environment directly from citizens across our state.”
