Department of Environmental Quality Director Steven E. Chester has announced a public outreach session to be held in Muskegon on Tuesday, October 25.
Director Chester and several of his key staff are continuing to hold public outreach sessions across the state to solicit comments on environmental issues facing their community. The Muskegon Public Outreach Session will be held at Grand Valley State University – Annis Water Resources Institute, Lake Michigan Center, Second Floor Multipurpose Room, 740 West Shoreline Drive, in Muskegon. The event is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will begin with a short presentation by Director Chester. The public meeting will then be opened for an informal question and answer session.
“It is crucial that the DEQ is accessible to the citizens of Michigan,” said Director Chester. “These forums provide us with the opportunity to hear comments and concerns about Michigan’s environment directly from citizens across our state.”
