Department of Environmental Quality Director Steven E. Chester will be hosting a public meeting to be held in Sault Ste Marie on Wednesday, May 24.
Director Chester and several of his key staff are continuing to hold public outreach sessions across the state to solicit comments on environmental issues facing their community. The Sault Ste Marie meeting will be held at Lake Superior State University, The Anchor Room, Cisler Center, 650 W. Easterday Avenue. The event is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and will begin with a short presentation by Director Chester. The public meeting will then be opened for an informal question and answer session.
The DEQ will be holding additional public meetings throughout the year.
