November 16, 2006

The Department of Environmental Quality announced today that the Michigan Manufacturers' Guide to Environmental, Health, and Safety Regulations - Fourth Edition is now available on CD-ROM. The recently updated 500-page guidebook is a joint publication of the DEQ and the Department of Labor and Economic Growth, and is intended to assist manufacturers, suppliers, consultants, and regulators to better understand all state and federal environmental and safety regulations, get tips on where to go for help, and obtain all-around compliance assistance for their day-to-day operations.

The CD contains a complete PDF version of the guidebook, organized to quickly reference each chapter. The CD provides easy access to all linked publications mentioned in the guidebook without the need to be connected to the internet or find hard copies of the over 50 publications referenced in the guidebook.

To order your copy today, go to www.michigan.gov/deq, click on "Key Topics," then "Publications," or contact the Environmental Assistance Center at (800) 662-9278. CDs are available for $3, plus shipping, and hard copies of the guidebook are also available for $20 plus shipping and tax.

The guidebook can also be viewed for free online at http://www.michigan.gov/deq/0,1607,7-135-3307_3668_4148-15820--,00.html.

Editor's note: DEQ news releases are available on the department's Internet home page at www.michigan.gov/deq.
