Department of Environmental Quality Director Steven E. Chester will be participating in a "Global Warming Town Hall" meeting today that is being hosted by State Senator Gilda Jacobs. The meeting will take place at the Huntington Woods Public Library, located at 26415 Scotia Road, from 7:00 - 8:30 pm.
Director Chester will make a presentation and answer questions regarding Michigan's climate change initiative that was recently announced by Governor Jennifer M. Granholm. Director Chester will discuss its benefits for the environment as well as how it will help transform Michigan's economy and create jobs.
Joining Director Chester at the meeting will be Linda Zlotoff, a member of Al Gore's Climate Project Team.
