The Department of Environmental Quality is reminding those interested that there will be a public information meeting and hearing on Thursday, January 10, regarding a proposed air permit for the Marathon Oil Refinery. The meeting will take place at the Kemeny Center, 2260 South Fort Street in Detroit.

The public information meeting will be from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., during which DEQ staff will answer any questions about proposed air permit and provide information related to the project. Following the meeting, the formal public hearing will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be an opportunity for the public to share their comments about the proposed permit and have them entered as part of the official record.
