The Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DNRE) is once again offering a comprehensive training opportunity designed to help those working in the environmental field comply with Michigan's environmental requirements. The Michigan Environmental Compliance Conference (MECC) will be held on June 3 in Gaylord, June 10 in Grand Rapids, and June 17 in Livonia.
The conference will include three concurrent tracks with 16 sessions on waste management, wastewater management, air quality, and more. Attendees can tailor their learning experience by attending the sessions that are of importance to their work, and all presentations will be given by experienced DNRE staff.
In addition to a full day of training, all conference attendees will receive the brand new 6th Edition of the "Michigan Guide to Environmental, Health, and Safety Regulations" developed by the DNRE and the Department of Labor and Economic Growth. This plain English guide provides a comprehensive overview of the environmental, health, and safety regulations that affect businesses in Michigan.
Those responsible for making sure their company, municipality, or institution is in compliance with Michigan's environmental regulations are encouraged to attend this conference. Environmental consultants, state and local officials, and anyone else interested in learning about Michigan's environmental regulations and how to comply are also welcome to attend.
The registration fee of $115 includes lunch, refreshments, and conference materials. Register on-line at www.michigan.gov/dnreworkshops, click on "Upcoming DNRE Workshops."
