Department of Environmental Quality Director Steven E. Chester announces a public meeting to be held in Dearborn on February 25, 2004.
Director Chester and several of his key staff will be conducting several public outreach sessions across the state to solicit comments on environmental issues facing their community. The Dearborn Public Meeting will be held at the M-Tec Auditorium of Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn. It is located at 3601 Schaefer Avenue, Dearborn. The event is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will begin with a short presentation by Director Chester. The public meeting will then be opened for an informal question and answer session.
“It is crucial that the DEQ is accessible to the citizens of the state,” said DEQ Director Chester. “These forums provide DEQ leadership with the opportunity to directly engage in one-on-one discussions on environmental issues facing citizens in their community.”
