Applicability
Effective January 1, 2009 the NOx Budget Trading program has been superceded by the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR)  program.  This page will be retired at the end of 2009.  Please continue to follow the program under the CAIR weblink indicated above.  The trading program budget allocated for an ozone control period shall equal the total number of tons of oxides of nitrogen emissions apportioned to the budget unit under R336.1810 and R336.1811 of the state's Air Pollution Control Rules. Tracking (of allocations and allowances) is through the Federal Clean Air Markets Division.
