Applicability
NOx SIP Budget Sources consists of 1 or more of the following:
- "Electricity-generating unit (EGU)" means a unit serving a generator with a nameplate capacity of more than 25 megawatts and produced electricity for sale.
- "Large affected unit (Non-EGU)" means a unit that has a maximum design heat input of more than 250,000,000 Btu's per hour and that did not serve a generator producing electricity for sale.
Monitoring, Testing and Reporting Requirements
Sources must meet, at a minimum, the requirements under Part 75.72 and 75.75, i.e. CEMs and parametric monitoring. For questions about emissions monitoring and testing, please contact Karen Kajiya-Mills at 517-335-4874 or email to millskd@michigan.gov

Permitting
All initial permit applications are due to the State at least 18 months before the date which the NOx Budget Unit commences operation. All renewal applications must be submitted as the same times as the Renewable Operating (RO) Permits renewal applications is due. Allocations and Allowances
The trading program budget allocated for an ozone control period shall equal the total number of tons of oxides of nitrogen emissions apportioned to the budget unit under R336.1810 and R336.1811 of the state's Air Pollution Control Rules. Tracking (of allocations and allowances) is through the Federal Clean Air Markets Division.
