The function of the Toxics Unit is to evaluate the human health impacts of toxic air pollutants, to provide toxicological expertise for the development and implementation of the Division's air toxic programs, and to develop, coordinate, and implement air toxic programs for the protection of the Great Lakes ecosystem and inland lakes.
