Technical Programs Unit Overview

The function of the Technical Programs Unit is to maintain statewide compliance of stack sampling, continuous emissions monitoring, asbestos abatement and hazardous waste site management for the protection of the Great Lakes ecosystem. These programs assure that all significant sources of air pollution are in compliance with the Federal Clean Air Act, the Michigan Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act and the subsequent promulgated rules.
