The Michigan Air Quality Monitoring Program consists of the operation of Federally mandated National Air Monitoring Stations (NAMS) and State and Local Air Monitoring Sites (SLAMS) as well as the Special Purpose Monitoring Stations (SPMS) network in Michigan. The requirements for this network are described in Title 40 CFR, Part 58. Air quality measurements from this network are used to demonstrate the attainment status with regard to National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). Ambient air monitoring is also a requirement for State Implementation Plans (SIPS). Contained herein is information on the status of the air monitoring network; air quality trends, and real-time air quality measurements.
