Kennecott Humboldt Mill Public Meetings / Hearings

  A Public Meeting on the Kennecott Eagle Minerals Humboldt Mill mine application is set for Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at the Humboldt Township Hall, 244 County Road FAF, Champion, MI 49814, phone 906-339-2927. 

Four sessions are scheduled. 
  Session 1 -- I :00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
        Informal Question and Answer with DEQ Staff
   Session 2 -- 2:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
        Formal Testimony    
   Session 3 --   6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
        Informal Question and Answer with DEQ Staff
   Session 4 -- 7:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
        Formal Testimony  

This is the start of the public comment process on the Humboldt Mill.  Additional meetings and hearings will be scheduled as the decision making process continues. The DEQ is accepting written comments until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009.
