The Mineral Well Advisory Committee advises the DEQ on matters of regional or state-wide significance relating to mineral wells. Mineral wells include wells for brine production, waste disposal, underground storage, and geologic testing for mineral resources. The Committee provides input on policy, rules, orders, instructions, technical reviews, and hearings. The Committee is comprised of members from the mineral well industry, the public, and academia with background or expertise in mineral wells and related environmental and resource issues. The Committee meets two to four times per year. Meeting notices are published in the Department of Environmental Quality Calendar.
